Sleep and Aging
As we age, sleep can become more elusive. Owed in part to hormones and age-related changes in the a group of nerve cells called the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN), the body's internal clock can be disrupted, making it difficult to get enough sleep. According to the National Institute of Health, disruption of circadian rhythms can negatively affect overall health and wellness.
